Scott A. Miller, age 48, passed away on Friday, June 9, 2017 in Saudi Arabia following a cardiac incident.

A memorial service will be held on August 5, 2017 at 1 p.m. at the Koepsell-Murray Funeral Home in Beaver Dam with the Rev. Renae Dymond officiating. A visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Inurnment will take place at Oak Hill Cemetery in Horicon.

Scott was born the son of John and Charlene (Morgan) Miller on November 17, 1968 in Hartford.

Scott had a passion for teaching and has had a great impact on many children around the world. He had a Master's in Education and was currently working on his Doctorate in Education. Most recently he was teaching English and Social Studies in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. He had also taught in Myanmar and in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Early in his career he taught in Whitefish Bay and was the principal at Horicon Middle School. Scott had a love for reading and always had a book in his hands. In his spare time Scott loved to travel and had been to 43 different countries. He spent many years active in the Wisconsin Association of School Councils as well. He also enjoyed musicals and drum and bugle competitions.

Survivors include his mother and special step father- Charlene (Louis) Brakob of Horicon. His father - John Miller of Montello. His sisters- Jodie (Josh Frederick) Miller of Horicon and Nicole (Jim) Weiglein of LeRoy. His step-siblings – Tony (Stacy) Brakob, Tammy (Ken) Graff and Todd (Sue) Brakob. His special Aunt and Uncle- Char and Ron Kieck of Waukesha and their children Josh and Selena. His niece and nephews- Tanner, Kayli, Seth, Aidan, Wesley, Marshal, and Carter. His great nephew- Liam. Further survived by other relatives and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
