Rickey Lee "Rick" Locke, age 66 of Horicon, died peacefully surrounded by family on November 14, 2018 at the University of Wisconsin Hospital in Madison following a massive heart attack.

Rick was born June 3, 1952 in Port Huron, Michigan, to Roger and Dorthy (Hartman) Locke. He grew up in St. Claire Shores MI, and graduated from Lake Shore High School in 1970, before continuing his studies at Oakland University in Rochester Hills MI. Rick joined the US Air Force in 1971 and served as an Aircraft Control and Warning Radar Technician. On November 17, 1973 he was united in marriage to Diane Koehler at Community Baptist Church in St. Claire Shores MI. The couple were blessed with three children; Theresa, James and John. In 1980 Rick was honorably discharged from the Air Force, but continued working for the Department of Defense and the Federal Aviation Administration as a Radar Technician, retiring in 2010.

Rick loved spending time with his family and truly adored his grandkids. He had a kind and caring nature and was always willing to help others. He attended all of his daughter's ice skating competitions, was a Cub Scout Leader, and attended many campouts in support of his sons' who became Eagle Scouts. Rick enjoyed model railroading, going for walks, listening to music and watching movies. He attended church at Grace Hill Fellowship in Juneau.

Rick will remain in the heart of his wife of almost 45 years, Diane; children, Theresa (Jon) Aron, James (Shelley), and John (Jennifer); grandchildren, Cameron and Caroline Aron, Alex and Lauren Locke; his parents, Roger and Dorthy Locke; brothers, Randy (Loretta), Terry (Monica), and Kurt (Jani); and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A funeral service for Rick will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, November 17, 2018 at Harmony Baptist Church, N8954 County Rd W, Beaver Dam, WI. Visitation will be held from Noon until the time of the service at 1 p.m. at the church. Pastor Robert Johnson will officiate. Military honors will follow the service at the church.

The family wishes to thank the Horicon Police Department; Horicon, Mayville and Beaver Dam EMTs; and the doctors and nurses at the University of Wisconsin Hospital for their care and support.
