Obituary

Richard D. Fields, 73, of Horicon, passed away on Wednesday, July 18, 2018 at Dycora Transitional Health in Beaver Dam after a brave battle of cancer and pneumonia.

A visitation for Richard will be held on Saturday, July, 21, 2018 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. (noon) at Harvest Evangelical Free Church in Beaver Dam. A funeral service will follow at 12 p.m. (noon) with Pastor Jason Wood officiating. Burial will take place at Stone Cemetery in Burnett.

Dick was born the son of William and Ida (Kutz) Fields in Fond du Lac on January 25, 1945. He was united in marriage with Georgia L. Pilsner on April 20, 1979 in Juneau. Dick worked for Mayville Metal from 1972 to 2011. He was a faithful member of Harvest Evangelical Free Church in Beaver Dam, and served as the custodian for six years.

Dick enjoyed watching Christian programs and listening to Christian music, he also enjoyed watching war movies and westerns. He liked to garden and work on his 1968 Allis Chalmers lawn tractor. "Ding-a-Ling" was a great at telling jokes and stories. Dick loved training, spending time, and telling others what Cooper, his beloved rescue dog did that day.

He is survived by his wife Georgia of Horicon, 2 sisters; Lorinda (Larry) Farnsworth of Columbus and Caroline Gotchy of Sheboygan, sister-in-law; Alice Fields, beloved rescue dog; Cooper, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Dick was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers; Kenneth and Fred Fields, and his infant sister Hilda.

The family would like to thank Dycora Transitional Health for giving good care to Richard in his last walk of life.
