Eileen H. Zimmerman, 80, of Fox Lake passed away on Friday, April 14, 2017 at her home surrounded by her family.
A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, April 29, 2017 at St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church in Fox Lake from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral at 11 a.m. Rev. David Nottling will officiate. Interment will take place at Highland Memory Gardens, township of Trenton, WI.
Eileen was born the daughter of William and Hulda (Krinke) Rahn on September 2, 1936 in Randolph. She was a graduate of Randolph High School. Eileen was married to Elsmer Zimmerman on September 18, 1954 at Friedens Ev. Lutheran Church in Randolph. In addition to farming with her husband, she was employed with Rechek's Food Pride in Beaver Dam for many years. Eileen was a member of St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church in Fox Lake. She enjoyed cooking, sewing and quilting. Eileen loved to garden especially her rose garden.
Eileen is survived by her sons: David (Shirley) of Fox Lake, James (Deborah), of Fox Lake, Mark of Randolph, Glen (Donna J.) of Waupun, Neil (Pamela) of Kenosha, and Ken (Donna M.) of Fox Lake; her sister, Dorothy Walker of Beaver Dam; her grandchildren: Anne Zimmerman of Madison, Natalie and Emma Zimmerman of Fox Lake, Elizabeth (Christopher) Thurk of Fox Lake, Matthew (Hannah) Zimmerman of Randolph, Adam (Cassandra) Zimmerman of Fox Lake, Samantha (Samuel) Scott of Madison, Alexander (Vanessa) Zimmerman of Randolph, Alina (Andrew) Schmidt of Oshkosh, Lisa and Nicolas Zimmerman of Waupun, Jill (Darren) Ruff of Panama City, FL, Lauren (Stuart) Bischel of Pewaukee, Erin (David) Gemperline of Indianapolis, Jacob (Maria) of Pewaukee, Derek of Kenosha, Cassandra Zimmerman (Drew Dehn) of Beaver Dam, Christina Zimmerman of Madison, Justin, Sarah, and Jennifer Zimmerman of Fox Lake; her great grandchildren: Morgan, Averie, Parker, and Isaac Thurk, Madelynn and Wynn Bischel, David and Michaela, Drew, Jaxson, and Amelia; and further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Elsmer in 2016, three brothers: Ervin, Earl, and Leroy Rahn, and her daughter-in-law, Tami Zimmerman.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church and School in Fox Lake, Hillside Hospice or charity of one's choice.
