Delores M. Rosin, 72 years old, of Horicon, passed away on Saturday, January 21, 2017 at St. Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac, WI.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 27th at 2:00 p.m. at St. John Ev. Lutheran Church in Mayville, with the Rev. Allen Behnke & Rev. Allen Kramp officiating. A visitation will take place on Friday, January 27th from 11:30 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. at St. John Ev. Lutheran Church. Burial will take place at St. John Cemetery in Mayville.

Delores was born on October 22, 1944 to Alex and Frieda (Steinbach) Giese. Delores was baptized on Nov. 12, 1944 and confirmed on May 18, 1958 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Tn. of Theresa. Delores was a 1962 graduate of Northwestern High School in Watertown, and a 1966 graduate of Concordia College in River Forest, IL. She was united in marriage to Roger Edward Rosin on September 22, 1973 at Immanuel Ev. Lutheran Church (River Church) in the township of Theresa. Delores taught school at St. Matthew Lutheran School in Seattle, WA for 3 years, as well as in Papua, New Guinea for 1-1/2 years, Immanuel Lutheran School in the township of Theresa, and St. John Lutheran School in Mayville, retiring in 2008, after a total of 29 years of dedicated teaching.

Delores was a faithful servant of St. John Ev. Lutheran Church in Mayville. She was a member of the Dorcas Society (LWML), the stewardship committee, Altar Guild, and St. John quilting group. Delores served as choir director for more than 10 years, for both the adult and children's choir. She enjoyed traveling, sewing, flowers, reading and music. Delores also helped out with Meals on Wheels. Most of all Delores was a loving and caring wife & mother, and enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren.

Delores is survived by: her husband Roger of Horicon; her children- Chad (Katrina) Rosin and their children Ellianna, Amelia, and Lukas; Kari (Jason) Hagman and their children Hannah, Jillian, Ethan, and Addison; Kevin (Andrea) Rosin and their children Micah, Elsa, and Annika; and Christa Rosin; her sisters & brothers- Barbara (Rev. Allen) Behnke, Gordon (Tammy) Giese, Christine (Robert) Prouty, Lyle Giese, and Jon (Marnie) Giese; her in-laws- Carol Rosin and Jerry (Janet) Rosin; other relatives and friends.

Delores is preceded in death by: her mother & father- Alex & Frieda Giese; her sister Ruth Ann Giese in infancy, and her sister Mary Giese.
