Bonnie J. Gallenbeck, 88, of Burnett passed away peacefully after a short illness on Saturday, April 29, 2017 at Hillside Manor in Beaver Dam.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 3rd from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. at Zion Ev. Lutheran Church in Burnett. A funeral service for Bonnie will also take place on Wednesday, May 3rd at 11 a.m. at the church with Rev. Timothy Sallach officiating. Burial will take place at North Burnett Cemetery.

Bonnie was born on October 5, 1928 to Edward and Edna (Johnson) Thiede in Burnett. She was a graduate of Juneau High School, and attend two years of business school in Milwaukee. On May 27, 1950 Bonnie was united in marriage with Lyle Gallenbeck at Zion Ev. Lutheran Church in Burnett.

In addition to working for Peachy Brothers as a bookkeeper for many years, Bonnie and Lyle co-owned Burnett Amusements (G&R Games and Rides) with Gerri and Orville Reifsnider. The couples were seen at local picnics in the area on the weekends and Bonnie and Gerri were known as the "popcorn ladies". Bonnie was a lifelong resident of Burnett, and was a lifelong member of Zion Ev. Lutheran Church in Burnett, and in her younger years she was active in the Ladies Aid at church. She enjoyed baking and spending time with her children and grandchildren. In later years she was everyone's "Grandma Bonnie".

She is survived by: her children-Nancy Bandsma of Janesville, David Gallenbeck of Horicon; 3 grandchildren-Sarah (Caleb) Bandsma-Moore of Madison, Alyssa Bandsma of Janesville, and John Gallenbeck of Burnett. She is further survived by other relatives and friends.

Bonnie was preceded in death by: her parents, her husband Lyle, brothers- Harvey, Earl, Edward, Kenneth, Jack; sisters- Violet Thiede, Annabelle Thiede, Inez Winker, Lucille Clinton, Geraldine Reifsnider; daughter-in-law Elizabeth "Liz" Gallenbeck; and son-in-law John Bandsma.
