Condolence & Memory Journal

I was checking out for a change of address for Lucille as my Christmas card with my 90th birthday picture was returned to me at the post office yesterday, stamped "attempted, not known". Instead an obit for her came up in my computer. Sorry to hear this, sending my sympathy. I visited her many years ago up in that area of Fox Lake, Beaver Dam, can't quite remember just where. My mom, Charlotte Fisher (married name Beardsley) and Lucille's mom, Florence Perry were best friends back in high school and after in their 20's and beyond. I have a few pictures of them together and a horse, too. So I am Shirley Beardsley Sisk who is writing this. My mom died in 1997, so she's been gone a long time. Lucille was a few years younger than me, but my parents visited the family once a year or more when I was a child and we played together. We milked cows so didn't get to go away very often. So Lucille and I had kept in touch off and on over the years, usually at Christmas time. She kept me up to date on her change of address. Glad she is in heaven, and you all have good memories to remember. My eldest son, Gary Sisk, died in March of the Covid virus. He was a pastor in Delavan and was in the hospital six weeks, on a ventilator and comatose 5 of those weeks, etc. So he is heaven, and this is the first Christmas without him. But he is safe in heaven and out of pain, and I prayed for his comfort when he was so sick. Just in case you might want my address it is Shirley Sisk, P.O. Box 7, Darien WI 53114.

Dawn and family, our thoughts are with your family as you celebrate your mom's life. What a blessing the faith in your family is that you know she's at her Redeemer's feet with your dad and other family members. May God shed his light on you in the days ahead and bless you for the wonderful love and dedication you have shown caring for your parents in the past years. The journey is hard but the reward is great. You are wonderful people and God will heal your hearts with his love and bring you joy in the future. God Bless!
