Condolence & Memory Journal

I know grandma has touched a lot of lives. She was a very strong woman and accomplished what she set her mind to. She will be missed, but I am glad she isn't going to suffer. Much thanks, appreciation, and love to our family and those that took care of her.

The short time I got to know Helen she was always full of smiles. She always brightened my day. She will be greatly missed.

Mom, I will miss you so much. I want to Thank You for all the care and Love you gave me all your life from the wonderful Xmas cookie care packages, newspaper articles with your notes attached, wonderful letters full of family doings and your observations and especially your Father's Day cards where you told me how proud you were of my "Daddy accomplishments". That meant the world to me knowing you thought I had done good. I am and will always be proud to be your son.

I am a member of Mary Mother of the Church Parish, La Crosse, WI. Helen was truly a special lady and I can relate to the wonderful things said about her in her obituary. We somehow connected over gardening and recipes and I was often the beneficiary of some of her wonderful baking and recipes. She was a delight and so generous. I still miss her presence at the 4 p.m. Saturday evening Mass; she always sat up front in the far right row of pews. I recall how flattered she was to get weekend visits from grandchildren and their families and it was a good excuse for her to put her baking skills to work. My sympathy to all of you! Rest In Peace, dear Helen!
