So sorry to hear of Jerry's passing. We had planned on being at the funeral, but cannot because of dire happenings of our son, Jeffery Lewallen. He has terminal cancer of the lung, liver and brain. We have much to do to help him cope with it. We send our condolences and prayers for you and family. Jerry was a good man, friend and a blessing for all the things he accomplished while in Waushara county. May he rest in peace. Our prayers are with you Lil. You also are a very special person. We will try to get to Beaver Dam to see you when we can.

What wonderful memories I have of our modern day Ptaschinski patriarch. Family reunions in Beaver Dam, get-togethers in Racine, and all that good-natured teasing in between. Jerry & Lill adjusted their travel plans about 15 years ago to visit us in Salt Lake City, and the conversation always revolved around family history.
Who better to talk to than the guy who visited the Ptaschinski homeland of Garbatka, Poland, the guy who
got the ball rolling for "The Ptaschinski Chronicles" detailing the extensive family tree, and the guy who was
greatly responsible for that big Ptaschinski monolith in Beaver Dam's cemetery. What I most remember about him is an unassuming yet profound comment he once made when we were talking about our kids. He said,
"Isn't it great to watch them make their own mark on the world?" He seemed to relish the past, enjoy the
present, and look forward to the future. A proud Ptaschinski all the way.
