Geraldine H. Nickerson, 60, of Danville passed away on Tuesday, December 26, 2017 at the Columbus Community Hospital surrounded by her family.

Geraldine was born on October 28, 1957 to Howard and Eunice (Potter) Nickerson in Columbus. She was a graduate of Columbus High School. Geraldine was married to Kathy Koopmans on July 14, 2006. Geraldine was employed with APV in Lake Mills for 28 years until her retirement. She was also employed with Dodge County Parks. Geraldine loved the outdoors especially hunting, trapping and fishing. She loved to travel especially with her wife, Kathy.

Geraldine is survived by her wife, Kathy of Danville; brothers: George (Kathy) of Danville, Daniel of Portage, and Todd (Kathy) of Danville; her step-mother, Shirley of Marshall; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents.

A visitation will be held at the Koepsell-Zeidler Funeral Home in Columbus on Wednesday, January 3, 2018 from 11:30 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will take place at Okeeg Cemetery, township of Elba.

Kathy, I am so sorry for your loss. Geraldine was a great neighbor and we will miss her. Danville won't be the same without her. If there is anything you need when we are at the cottage, please let us know.
