Tribute & Message From The Family

Shane T. Larson, 51, of Columbus passed away on Friday, October 21, 2016 at the Beaver Dam Community Hospital surrounded by his loving family.

Shane was born on January 12, 1965 in Columbus, the son of Barbara (nee Schilling) and the late Gerald Larson. He was a 1984 graduate of Columbus High School. Shane was employed with Quad Graphics in Lomira. Shane loved hunting, fishing, archery, and trap shooting. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, especially teasing the younger ones.

Shane is survived by his mother, Barbara Larson of Columbus; his brother, Derrick Larson of Columbus; his sisters: Lisa (Brett) Hewitt of Fall River and Kelli (Jiro) Perry of Columbus; his nieces, Brittany (Brandon) Braucher and Cassandra Hewitt; his nephews: Mitchell Hewitt and Hunter and Tanner Perry; great nieces and nephews: Natalie, Hayley, Kylie, and Blake Braucher. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father and grandparents.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, October 27, 2016 at Zion Ev. Lutheran Church in Columbus. The Rev. Robert Wilke will officiate. A visitation will also be held on Thursday from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. at the church. Interment will take place at Hillside Cemetery in Columbus.

The Larson family would like to thank the staff at Beaver Dam Community Hospital, and a special heartfelt thank you to Dr. David Hei and nurses, Julie and Jenny for all the compassion and support they provided.

I had the pleasure of working with Shane for many years, and very much enjoyed the time we worked together. We shared hunting stories and Tall Tales. He had a Great sense of Humor! He will be missed.

Shane was one of the best coworkers at Quad that I ever had and I'll always remember him. Very smart guy. We worked together for many, many years and became friends. Always enjoyed laughing and sharing hunting stories with him.

I had the pleasure of working with Shane at Quad Graphics. He was one of my favorite coworkers. Shane was so easy to talk with! I'll always remember that he liked the band Kiss :)
