Condolence & Memory Journal

We had the pleasure of having Bob and Eileen as next door neighbors from 1996-2002.
They were such loving and caring neighbors, and always so much fun to visit with.
You could always see the love they had for each other, by looking into their eyes when they spoke.
Thanking God that we got to know them, and now your parents are together again.
So very sorry for your loss.

I had the honor of meeting Bobby several years ago. My mother is his cousin (Lucinda Hurckman) and I took her to visit Bobby and Pete along with her other cousins in the area, Virginia and Leroy Steier, among others. Luckily mom and I got to visit Bobby again this past May and we brought my 13 year old niece along. He talked about wanting to be with Pete and I knew it wouldn't be long as that was his wish. He holds a special place in my heart as he is the nephew of my grandfather, Harry Hurckman. I felt a connection and glimpsed a bit of my grandfather in him. He was so interesting to talk with and I loved hearing his stories of serving our country. I wrote him several times and I hope he enjoyed reading my letters. I am so sorry for your loss and please know he will be missed.
